[Galaga Main Theme]

me wants moar.....

I liked the song. nice little 8 bit feeling you got on there. The melodies where kool. Reminded me of the old arcade galaga games I am so go at :). Nice flow to it, and it loops decently.

Suggestions: me wants moar. It is very short, and If you were to expand this into a song, It would be SUPA AWESOME. 8 seconds isn't enough.

Interesting style you got there.

Nice feeling to it. It conjures up images of Sherwood forest during the time of Robin Hood (Yes I know he doesn't exist). It flowed very nicely, and the melodies were awesome. A woodwind ensemble masterpiece.

Suggestions: I think some of your instruments are clashing. A bunch of instruments on the same octave at approximately the same volume will start to clash. And I think you could have done well with a percussion instrument of some sort. And that note at the end is about .5 seconds too long (sorry I'm so picky).

Robin Hood, eh? A live recording of this would sound great, there'd be less of that clash of timbre you refer to and the note at the end would fade out properly without going on for days! I'll look into some percussion for my next project.

[Improvisation Number One]

A recording?

Nice improvisation. A nice sorta calming feeling to it. It conjures up images of a jazz club right after closing time. I liked how you used only two instruments to create a fantastic song. Nice melodies going on there, too.

Suggestions: There's not really enough going on in the song. You have two intruments and thats it, A hi hat, just one hi hat would have made the song much better. Since this is an improvisation, I can't really say your song lacks structure. And if this was a recording do us all a favor and cut of the first 12 seconds of silence. plz.

Curse my western education. Jazz was not meant to be a part of this, though heavy use of pentatonics can make someone hear that. That being said, there are in fact three instruments you hear: saxophone, guitar and flute. The flute carrys the drone in its low register, it's what is playing those first very quiet 12 seconds. If it were jazz, hi-hat would've been great. Since it's not, I stuck with those three.

loops?

I recognized a lot of loops in there. and a pad.

There was some effort in there, setting the loops to the perfect tempo. But you might want to include more of your oirignal melodies.

But overall a kool song though.

Interesting, I must review this song

Nice upbeat melody in the main body of the song. The intro was simply smashing. Then you used the gate effect and the guitar starts in. That was pretty kool. Then after the third instrument somes in the songs creates a more mysterious feeling. Overall a very good song.

Suggestiongs: I think some of the instruments are clashing. I'm not entirely sure. But other than that this was a pretty awesome song.

thanks for the review.
I usually make my songs happy, but my main focus with drums is to make them sound less happy because it is always TOO upbeat.
and yeah, the gating was one of my favourite parts.

instruments are clashing a bit, i tried to avoid it as much as i could, but at some point in the song, all 3 instruments are leads, so it was hard to make them all stand out in their own way, the struggle i shall continue fighting forever.

Oh yea XD XD XD!!

It has a nice fast tempo. Very good percussion line. It makes me think of eing chased through metal hallways. I can see a lot of effort going into this. The effects are nice too. The melodies flow very nicely, and the transitions are very smooth.

Suggestions: the bass intruments kinda blares out the rest of the song at times. You might want to turn it down a bit. Then it'll be perfect!!

The main focus was having most of the energy coming from the drums and the bass. I could have turned it down, but too much and it would have become too weak. True, it might sound better if I bring the main melody out more, but most of it is decoration.

Sorry I didn't have time before too look at this (or listen I should say) XD. It has a nice ambient feel but I sense a lot of movement too. Overall very nice feel to it. I think its good as is.

yeah i have FL
